From my past practice in yoga and the martial arts, I know that relaxation through meditation does have its benefits, especially in today's fast-paced society.
The benefits of prayer have also been studied scientifically.
That "one thing by which you can do all things" is Jesus Christ the Messiah. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13) He has given me more peace, power and joy than anything else ever has. Because of Him, I know that my life will have a happy ending, because I know I will spend eternity in Paradise...not because I'm a good person, but because of His ultimate sacrifice on the cross for those who will follow Him.

Interesting. I do not meditate as such, but do pray and reflect. But of course Dr. Deepak Chopra is coming from an Eastern perspective.
Also, your news feed is quite good with important headlines.
Hello Russ,
Thank you for reading my Blog. You are a great supporter. I agree about the news stories.
I am going to write a Blog about the benefits from green tea. The benefits include decreasing sleep apnea according to the new research.

Hi Russ,
I have always prayed as well, and sent my request out into the Universe.
However, Meditation is a quieting of the mind. You do not think. Meditation actually quiets the mind and body. It is a very calming technique.
I need to meditate more. Just like the Blog title. During these rough times prayer and mediatation is the thing to do.
Thank you.

Amen. Thank you Jeff for reading my Blog.
I agree with you 100%. I have received miracles through prayer. God is first in my life as well.
Meditation, for me is just a quick way to quiet the physical.
Prayer is the major way for me to keep the faith!
